9/26/08 - NEW SHOW DATE

6/19/08 - New site launched! After owning this domain for several months, I finally discovered how to point it to the hosting account I've had for years. Expect sporadic improvements to be made, it's a work in progress.

6/11/08 - Death Metal of a Salesman out. Four tracks: two "songs," two "dramatic soundscapes". For this EP we took a new approach to recording. Everything was still done with one microphone, but each instrument was recorded individually and stuff was actually mixed. The difference in quality is noticeable. In addition to the new recording method, the EP is a departure from Holiday Mail's barely established sound. The songs are darker than what you may be used to from HM. The exception being the last track, which is somewhat of a throwback to the Catcher in the Rye album. Check the music page for free download.

3/11/08 - Green Light Project released. Just like Gatsby with his Daisy, we've all got our own green lights. Find out what they are on our five song EP, the Green Light Project. This one was basically thrown together in one day, the day the project was supposed to be due, but it actually came out pretty good. 1/16/08 - The Catcher in the Rye OST was recorded in the Bear's Den beginning on December 30, 2007. Despite consideration of mutiny by some members, persistence persevered and manifested itself in eight original songs and three song parodies inspired by the only book we've read so far this year in English class. The album was recorded live in studio using a single microphone positioned a few inches off the floor, resulting in could-be-better sound quality and an inability to mix anything. The positioning of amps around the microphone and the adjustment of their volumes was pretty much the extent of anything reminiscent of "production." For this reason certain instruments are often times more overpowering than they should be. On the whole, the project went smoothly. We hope your enjoyment of this record falls somewhere in the ballpark of your enjoyment of the classic 1951 novel it strives to represent.
